Good time at the bike park

I had a good afternoon today. I’ve spent this past weekend working on my mountain bike. I’ve got it setup for jumping/down hill. So after all that work I decided to fire out to Burnaby Bike Park and test her out. It went well. Everything was mint, except the front derailleur. I just coudn’t get it to pop into second without over jumping and pulling the chain off. No matter how much I adjusted tension or the screw, it didn’t seem to matter. So I spent the afternoon on the small ring up front. Now that I have my SRAM rear derailleur dialed in, it really is awesome! I’ve ridden bikes my whole life, and have never had a shifter/derailleur combo that was so efficient.I’m also glad I decided to wear my pads at the park today. The last time I went I did not, and took a little fall that cut up my leg and arm. This time out I had two big bails, and not a scratch one me! Way to go mace gear!

The beginning of an experiment

While I’m not a writer by trade, I’ve always enjoyed the process. I’ve always felt that I’m my at best when I’m able to visually see my thoughts. Emails, texts, smart little quips on face-book were then, without doubt, created to make me look and feel smarter than the average bear. So now that I sit here perched upon my tower of smugness, enjoy the show! Watch in amazement as I, in a just few posts, come falling off my high perch, only to realize I’m not as smart as I think I am. I invite anyone to drop by, take a read, and please feel free to comment and discuss anything I put forward. The whole “blog” thing is not really my forte, but after having this domain sit here for over a year, I finally figured I’d start throwing some thoughts and ideas up.
